Fair Lady Warning
|Fair Lady Warning|
Fair Lady Warning is a sidescroller released by KKairos on December 31st, 2012. It received a bug-fix update on January 1st, 2013. In this game, Lady Warning of the House of Longboot, who is to receive the crown of the Queenship from her mother and one day rule their dominion, goes on a quest to take down a castaway from her grandmother's court who is out for revenge against the family and its domain. Warning's main weapon is a small dagger which allows her to perform many high-flying moves as long as she has enough energy to do so.
Throughout the game players can collect Warning Coins, which are just for honor, or big hearts, which increase the maximum amount of life Lady Warning can have. At the end of each level, there is a boss fight which must be overcome to move on to the next level. The game has two difficulties, Mild Warning which gives players 5 lives per level and in which falling on spikes damages up to 1/3 of Lady Warning's health, and Severe Warning which only gives 3 lives per level and in which spike damage is up to 1/2 of Warning's health.
While he was the primary developer and did the work for the game, including engines and design, fellow MegaZeuxer ThDPro served as a major beta tester and counsel for design, and is credited with helping keep the game's difficulty less insane than it could have been. The author also credits electromaniacal with a minor graphical consult on the matter of hex tiling.
The game contains an original soundtrack composed by KKairos.
