Ideal viewport settings for dungeon crawler?

I currently have a very basic labyrinth level laid out at the moment, but now I want to make the view up close and centred on the character (think Super ZZT) so the player can't see everything all at once.
Which viewport settings should I use for that?

<Malwyn> Yes, yes. Don't worry I'd rather masturbate with broken glass than ask you for help again. :(

Nah that's fine. Gives it a nice old school feel anyways. I can decorate around the border, right? Like adding counters, health bars, stats and stuff.

1. How do I change/mirror the character based on the direction? I'm almost 100% sure I did it a few years back when I last worked with MZX.
2. Is it possible to slow the player down to manual movement as opposed to automatically running across the board? Same with the firing rate, is there a way to make it more like traditional ZZT style so it's not rapid?

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, you're trying to lock the game speed of the world you're creating by using the settings menu.
If you want to do it permanently, write this in your global robot script:
set "mzx_speed" to 8
This will also lock the speed of your world, so that no one can change it through the menu.
"mzx_speed" is one of several built-in variables. There's a complete list... somewhere. I think.

Yeah I've got the speed down now. Just need to figure out how to change the key bindings and figure out how to make the End board I've made the ending screen, because the player can still move around on it at the moment.
