Current planned/possible improvements for the help system:

  • Use the plaintext help file directly instead of requiring it to be converted to the HLP format.
  • A search feature (/ and/or ctrl+f)

Some things discussed on Discord that would be very useful:

  • A second command reference that groups commands by function instead of alphabetically.
  • A way to return from a command description to the command reference. This would either take a lot of labels or (preferably) a stack for navigating the help file that the commands could just pop.


Another thing I'd like:

    Multiple help files open at once or persistent help pages while in the same context or both. These might work well with keeping a stack of visited pages.
