Ah, Ski 2004. It's a short, 4-level game, and is horribly frustrating, but still manages to do a few things right!

You're on a snowy mountain, skiing, and you collect money to buy extra lives so you can keep on skiing. The controls are horrible. The player moves way too fast, you'll probably have to play this on speed 5. You can press up to backtrack, but you shouldn't have to do this. I mean, you shouldn't have to need to go backwards in a 2d obstacle course at all.

On the first two levels, there's a large amount of detail. The ski lodge graphics are nice, and there's different things that happen around the ski lodge between levels. On the second level, there's moving trucks with little people moving boxes, which is pretty impressive to see in a game like this

The third and fourth levels have almost none of this though, and are really boring. In fact, the third level is a painful slalom course where you'll be doing a lot of the backwards moving, and the final course is almost as bad.

The music is X-Mas music on the levels, and for some reason a Pink Floyd song in the ski lodge. Either one would fit, but having them both together is inconsistent.

This is a game that looks good, but doesn't do much else well. Gets an extra star just because I really like the first two levels. It's barely two stars, though.
