Asher is an interesting sidescroller taking place in a fantasy universe. Improving from the flaws that An Unforeseen Dilemma had, Asher contains a coherent plot, a status screen, and unlimited ammo. However, despite the fact that the game tells you what the controls are, these are actually inferior to those in AUD - they are illogically placed on the I, K, L, and O keys, with the J key jumping. Much of the difficulty in this game came from adapting to the controls (and the uncomfortability of shifting my left hand over so far). At least the engines are better constructed, and the graphics somewhat better.
