Kya's Sword
You are Ean, a skilled swordsman in his teen years, eager for adventure. His father gave him the legendary Kya's Sword as a gift when he passed his sword classes. He doesn't know where the sword originated from, but he did enjoy it anyway!
But, his father had an arch nemesis named Jedo. Ean's father could not defeat the evil Jedo, and was killed. Jedo still lives today and Ean wants to avenge his father's death. But first, he has to rescue his little brother Timmy, absorb all five Sword Stones, then defeat Jedo!

This is probably my favorite newbie game for who knows what reason. It's charming - it tells you about bugs in its engine, there's Drelick-like mimesis breaks (like the Nintendo) and the author keeps telling you things like "this music sounds great on headphones" and "keep your pinky on the X key for sword preparation".
Its gameplay is simplistic and a little over-easy until the end. It's a huge game, however, and it doesn't feel painful to play through unless you're overly critical about things. This is a game you play when you don't feel like playing to your fullest.

Although this game has some major bugs in it, like the creatures in the forest thingy that kill you instantly when touching, this game has a very good sword engine and a pretty good plot.
I give a 2 for graphics, 4 for engine and a 3 for plot, an overall of 3/5.
