Journey to Mars is a 3-board sidescroller game.
The hazards consist of enemies that move left and right aimlessly, spikes that only sometimes hurt you, lava pits and the game's poorly designed platformer engine. The player moves in an acute arc that makes every jump nerve-racking.
The only items are coins, and collecting 50 gets you an extra life. Not that you'll need it, given how short this is.
It looks good, but not very good. Good palette for a game based on Mars.
Overall, skip it. It's short, boring and tedious. Even the author agrees (screenshot 2).
