In Catnip, you play as a cat traveling from one place to the next sort of aimlessly. It's an early ThDPro game along the lines of Detroit Crack City, but shorter and more simplistic. Which helps in this case.

Sometimes you advance by finding items and talking to other cats, but there's also a few interesting action segments. You have no attacks. You just dodge built-in enemies and their fire. A single hit kills you, but there are a lot of extra lives hidden in the game. It's not as bad as it sounds, and the layouts and enemy placement are better than the crude themes of the game would suggest.

Music is all stuff from other Megazeux games, and the sound effects likely are as well. The sound effects are imitative of Cans's style, but not blatantly like in a Giel game. Graphics, like in Detroit Crack City, are all over the place. Some areas look really underdetailed and others look nice, sometimes on the same board.

It reminds me of a Goldenhog game, in a good way. Check it out if you were entertained by those.
