Phil 1 Demo is an unexciting classic-style Megazeux game with boring bosses and poor use of built-in enemies.
there are a few slightly cool things with graphics and effects but very little else going for this.
Oh, also the boss in screenshot 3 has a bug that makes it invincible, meaning the demo effectively ends once you reach it. But if you do get past it, you'll reach the horror that is the ZZT-style wall of turrets (screenshot 4). Like the ZZT one, you restart the room if you get hit. But it's much worse here because this one is longer. It's a little easier if you set Megazeux to speed 5.
The worst part is, some of the songs are things that are commonly used in Megazeux, but with horrific instrument changes. A song from Chronos Stasis and BOSS1.MOD fell victim to this, and the changes to BOSS1.MOD are particularly horrible. Offensive to the ears, in fact.
