I recently finished Technopoly: The Surrender of Culture to Technology by Neil Postman.
I also recommend his talk to Apple's head engineers and design staff in the 90s because he goes to the evangelists and says, "Maybe tone it down a bit, please". HE's a really fun cat to listen to. RIP.
