ah... brings back memories of the chris kohler series, and that other yoshi game i once played. i never could understand their popularity, except that some people like toilet humor.

... where'd yah go, goshi? i look forward to playing this one.

not too bad, but i wasn't fond of the "mr. man body part" jokes. if i was to rate it, i'd probably say 2.5 or 3/5. good for a first game.

Unfortunaly, I didnt like it as much as the rest of you. I know it was zzt and all, but I still disliked how he did the rooms. And all that nummies talk and stuff, made me question the author very much, even if it was ment to be "fun" or funny.

Please dont take this the wrong way, I dont do very good with ZZT myself, Im just giving my input. If youd like to see the games Ive done, and laugh or smile at my work, check out Trials of Nickideums, my first rpg, and Dungeon RPG, my second rpg, my first FP rpg.

Peace.

well, i do think there were a couple of bugs, but you have to remember, this is the guy's first game; i know my first game wasn't that good.

the yoshi franchise idea has been played out a little, but we haven't had a yoshi zzt game for awhile, so it's nice to see. it's better than any of the chris kohler games anyway, imo.

The nummies thing is just typical Yoshi-ism.

My favorite Yoshi ZZT game was the two part Island series.

EDIT: Keyboard was locking up. Forgot the S at the end of series.

<@Tixus> Anyway, I set the year to 1988 for some reason.
<@Tixus> And set the microwave to run for a minute and 28 seconds.
<@Tixus> But it failed to send me back in time, and I was disappointed.
<Insidious> Tixus accidentally microwaved the 80s
<Insidious> that is my takeaway from this

i don't think i ever played that... didn't dustin hubbard or whatever his name is also make a yoshi game?

yoshi's road apple was also a fun, but simple and silly shooter.

The 2 part island series (Made by T0ucan) were probuly one of the best out the Yoshi games I've seen. If you think I should just stick with Megazeux then I will.

EDIT: Yay, post 400!

it matters what you wanna do more. zzt has more limits, but it's also easier to program with. move at whichever pace you please.

I can't reply to PM's because of my dodgy internet browser. Please bear that in mind.

oh, yeah, here're some tips, while we're at it:

- a lot of zzters hate pre-programmed enemies
- a lot of zzters hate non-stk graphics, if used more than a little bit
- making a game less repetitive and more varying is good, as long as you do it right
- times change in zzt, so people will expect certain things to be more "advanced" than they would look or play in the aol database days.

I'm not the best ZZT programmer in the world, I can make simple things but not complex things.
I did make a stupid RPG engine in Citrus Yoshi and that was the hardest thing I programmed
in Citrus Yoshi I guess...

as long as it's not a "Stupid RPG" engine!

it might take some time, but you'll get good at it... it took me about 1 1/2 years to become a worthwhile zzter.
