Played Doki Doki Literature Club! and really liked it, but I don't play VNs often so my impressions on them don't mean much compared to someone like Lancer-X. Say, have you played it? What do you think of it? I imagine with your VN experience that it's probably nothing new to you, but I still wanna hear your opinion on it regardless.

Xenoblade 2. It's hilarious, the music is great, but damn the battle voice acting got annoying fast.

Trails in the Sky SC.

I'm playing through this series reallllly slowly. It's a great game though. I'm playing the PSP version on my Vita because I heard vague anecdotes about problems with Evolution.

I'm actually surprised you're not playing it on PC! Such a fantastic game series... and SC was my favorite out of the 3 TITS games.

I hope one day we'll get an official translation of the 2 Crossbell games. They're by far my most wanted localizations at this point in time. I'm getting so desperate, I might have to pay one of my coworkers to translate them for me :(

While I am a total PC supremacist, being able to play portably trumps everything else.

And yeah, really great stuff. I liked the first game quite a lot and I think I liked this one even better.

Just started on the third game... wow it's different.

The Guardian Legend, a 1988 Compile game that alternates between exploration and vertical shooter.

Waiting for my girlfriend to come over because she wants to watch me beat Trails of Cold Steel. Then, it's on to CHUCHEL, finally playing Doki Doki Literature Club, and finally playing through a Kingdom Hearts game (with her).

Currently working on Servo for MegaZeux, I hope to complete it by the middle of 2015? Who knows...

I played through Lucienne's Quest for 3DO. It's probably one of the first fully 3D texture mapped console RPGs, runs at like 5FPS but is kinda charming in its own way. The game gets weirder and weirder the farther along you are, which is always a plus.

Also now I'm finally playing a Pokemon game, after all these years (well, unless you count Snap). I'm playing Yellow and just made it to Saffron City, with 5 badges so far.

Just started Octopath Traveler, and as expected, is hitting the spot for me. Looks and sounds beautiful, combat is challenging and emphasizes interesting tactical choices, and the multiple side stories hearken back to classic Square games like Live A Live, SaGa Frontier, and Treasure of the Rudras. Only issue so far is that battles tend to drag on for a bit too long, even if you are exploiting enemy weaknesses.

STILL playing Octopath. Nearing the end of the final chapter. Some of these late-game boss fights are really tough and put your skillzzzz to the test. Great game, although it does wear thin due to its long length and fairly repetitive structure.

Also on my flight to Japan I started Alliance Alive. A decent game, not without its charms. It's like a simplified SaGa when it comes to systems and features multiple parties that intersect at some point. Plus it has a giant duck robot that turns submersible and wears a life raft.

Then it's finally on to DQ11.

i played through Metroid Fusion in a couple sittings last week and then started into Super Metroid and i haven't played either in probably going on fifteen years so in spite of how much simpler/cheesier they are to my weathered eyeballs it's actually kinda emotional

Fair bit of Forza Horizon 4 as one of my D&D group really liked it and it's "free" with Xbox Game Pass. Really nice game! Very pretty, and I've always liked the Forza games anyway.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2, though I need to get back to it.

Lotus III on the Amiga 500 because I fairly recently got an Amiga 500 and got it into working order, so that's been fun.

Super Mario RPG on my SNES, which is still the one Terryn sold me a while back (thanks again for that! May retrobrite the case at some point soon though because it's getting *really* yellow now...)

<@Tixus> Anyway, I set the year to 1988 for some reason.
<@Tixus> And set the microwave to run for a minute and 28 seconds.
<@Tixus> But it failed to send me back in time, and I was disappointed.
<Insidious> Tixus accidentally microwaved the 80s
<Insidious> that is my takeaway from this

Slowly going through the Witcher 3, but honestly having more fun watching Caitie play it than playing it as I've had to restart my save a few times now so I've gotten through a lot of this stuff already.

Replaying SMTIV:Apocalypse a bit, but mostly playing SMTIII as PCSX2 makes it an easy game to jump right into when I'm not working on something.

Also intending to get back into Xenoblade 2 soon.

Hopefully get back into Lotus III once I've fixed the Amiga. It developed a RAM issue and I'm not comfortable soldering RAM yet, so I decided to swap the motherboard instead for now. Spare chips will be useful, and only the Agnus is definitely dodgy on the old board.

Insid, what model Amiga do you own? My friend recently got ahold of a 500, and installed a CF card adapter. I've never really played on an Amiga until recently, but I dig Turrican 2 and 3, Apidya, Chaos Engine, and Ruff n Tumble. What are some of your favorites?

Finished SMT4, playing SMT4A sorta-postgame-ish content before finishing with the Dagda ending, because I can't be bothered doing a newgame+. Twisted Tokyo is a rough place (more boring than hard).

I drool at the thought of having SMT4A's gameplay in a good SMT game. Hopefully SMT5 delivers.

Beat Kingdom Hearts - the camera and Gummi Ship were awful, but the Disney/Square mashup was cool, and the graphics still look nice. A bit more in-depth than I was expecting in terms of mechanics.

Now nearing the end of Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom. An excellent spiritual successor to the Wonder Boy/Monster World franchise, although it's MUCH heavier on the puzzles than any of said games. And some of the puzzles are pretty mechanically frustrating, requiring tons of switching of your animal forms (since you transfer into different animals... not unlike a possible prototype I had for Engine 2 back in the day). Worth playing though!

After that, may take a break to do some spring cleaning, and then play the Chronicles of the Radia War repro I bought. Or move onto Kingdom Hearts: RE Chain of Memories.

Recently finished Persona Q2. It was good, at least as good as you'd expect it to be considering what it is. If you're not a big fan of Persona 3-5 you won't like it because that's where a good bit of the appeal comes from. Not a huge amount of postgame content which was a little disappointing. Several bugs though- hopefully those get fixed in time.

With that, the only SMT game left that I plan on playing is Deep Strange Journey (or Strange Journey Redux, whichever you prefer). Only every time I consider playing it I remember irritating quests, excruciating maps and some of those late-game bosses. I mean SJ was a great game but also one that I.. don't really want to play again yet.

Also recently finished Amid Evil. Awesome game- very atmospheric, very well balanced.
