Notes which I wrote while playing it:
- There needs to be an indication to “press P” on the first screen, otherwise players new to megazeux won't know how to start it.
- Movement is so so, that little lag to start moving is noticeable in big rooms.
- I think I found a bug: you can get *below* the long line of text that ends with «...me», and doing so renders the game unwinnable (you cannot reach the space above that).
I always appreciated how you blended text elements in your game, making it an almost tactile part of the rooms. This one is no exception, there are very good moments to be had exploring the “cave” and trying to make up what the rebus means story-wise; I find it a great way of showing instead of telling a story. Replayed it twice to see if I got all correctly, still not sure what the first two screen exactly depict (weathering a storm outside alone and then an explosion? Drowning?), but this is ok, as it adds to the oniric experience of the game. Same with puzzles, they were mostly simple but that fits the bill of a narrative game. Music and especially SFXs made immersion much much better.
I enjoyed it. Congratulations!
spoiler: is there ________________________________________ anything I can do with the happy face on top-left, in the last room? Nice touch either way.
