No title yet, going to have the biggest board count of any MZX game, and include almost every conceivable gameplay mechanic and plot point. If you have any idea for a gameplay mechanic, biome, or want a cameo, or even wanna make a board or 2 hit me up.

I don't believe I've played any of your previous games, but you have my interest with "include almost every conceivable gameplay mechanic and plot point." That's a tall order.

Hello bud! Check out Morning Star and Malardy. Those are the 2 I'm most proud of. Give the others a skim if you want. Musings is pretty sweet too.

It seems like it's a lot but i already have single, double jump, hunger/survival, inventory, base building in there. Anything you wanna see in this MZX game?

I added a bunch of boards, the classic use item to break out of prison, zeek from inanifest, base building mechanics, jrpg mechanics, and sum other stuff. Are there any other gameplay mechanics i missed?

Haha I appreciate that! I added some more boards and engines including reverse gravity, jump, linked some boards up. up to around 60 boards. I dont think this will be my all time best game, Malardy will still probably hold that spot. But who knows.

Up to around 85 boards. After talking a bunch on discord its possible i may go to 250. we'll see. added a lot more boards and connecting more areas, added pokeballs and figured out the 3 catchable monster types as well as planning where everything is going to be. tiny bit of story in there. I'm making it at random. so far the middle climax and the start of the story is like 2% done. some party members include Zeek from Inanifest and Robo-Jones. List of gameplay mechanics:

Linked up some more boards and spruced up some others. added 3 TV stations. up to 92 boards so far!! I'm using all weaknesses as strengths to blaze through this.

Added in the classic noahsoft falling in a pit/color bridges HOWEVER we put in gaurd rails cuz we're not cruel. I figured out the basic way I'm gonna complete the game

step 1:
make 250 boards and all the engines with sprinklings of stories and characters

step 2:
play a bunch of MZX games I haven't yet like Lachesis and others. Replay every DHewer game

step 3:
put in the story and characters

step 4:
done

How are you gonna structure the game? Can you somewhat freely move between the boards like an open world, or is it going to be a more linear string of boards, for example?

Kinda a mix honestly. Lots of open world roaming, but a few linear paths that must be backtracked like metroid too. I'm actually making more boards and levels than i even know how to connect at this point.

I'm sure you'll figure something out. I still remember how much I struggled with structuring my game early on. Took a while to figure out how the player actually progresses through the overworld and the varying one-shot dungeons.

You revisit some classic MZX and ZZT locations including the Castle of Zeux. I was fleshing it out today, got about 3 or 4 boards. Also of course fake credits and fake game overs. as well as real ones.

Up to about 160!!! only 90 boards left before we hit the board limit :) i'm probs gonna just go for it cuz i still have biomes and ideas. most gameplay types and engines are covered. We got:

Connecting way more later areas, it's getting fricking NEBULOUS! Hard to keep track of. Also started writing a bit of the story which will include family/romance/llama master/code red/memory/perception/alienation/things changing.
