Jess Mills - Pixelated People (Hal Incandenza Remix)
Deep/Prog/Tech House

Heard this on a Sasha set a few weeks back and have been absolutely hooked. It's done by an alias of Henry Saiz and it's amazing... deep, atmospheric house, the stuff I'd play in the early parts of my sets. Apparently the label held this back from release so it was released as a free download. Have no idea why the fuck the label would do that.

After finally remembering again what the song was named, I looked up the anime that it was the OP of.

And I gotta say, Pure Snow seems wasted on such a forgettable anime. A song like that deserves better.

I discovered that feeling when I first got onto KOTOKO, only to later find that a surprising portion of her songs (including some of the really good ones) were for low-quality forgettable eroges and the like. There's a couple I found specifically because they had a KOTOKO theme song and they were just a waste of time to play.

Been listening to Rush's Vapor Trails Remixed album, which is basically a remaster of their mid-2000s Vapor Trails album that hasn't been loudness-war'd to hell.

Where are those from, anyway? I'm kinda curious about whoever's behind Mr. Vain and Get Ready To Bounce.

I downloaded them all off Modarchive or took from other MZX games I liked... Definitely a lot of Purple Motion, Skaven, Future Crew stuff... Not sure who made the MOD versions of Mr Vain and Get Ready To Bounce though.

I've forgotten how to do the fancy link thing where it only displays the text you want it to display rather than the link itself.

^ that Kaste song is pretty cool, nice oldskool trance sound.

Xpansions - Elevation
(oldskool 90's British house... if this song was released exactly as is today it would be "future house" though :( )
