MZX should use version-appropriate SFX (for lava, death and game over) and messages (e.g. “You need a dark blue key!” instead of “You need an appropriate key!”, or “Death befalls thou...” instead of “You have died...”) when running a MZX1 world, for a higher level of accuracy in replicating the MZX1 experience.
Thanks, Vacek

For SFX, You have the MZX version 1 sounds that originally came with the current source code (I think it was in docs/mzxinfo.txt), supplied by Alexis Janson himself... There is not much about the messages, The Key/Lock messages must have a certain limit depending on the palette if using EGA back then so we used a ZZT-type format, now we ditched the ZZT formatting for the original MZX style of formatting to fit VGA coloring, so no ZZT-like message color-dependancy in the middle of the messages of key and lock related stuff.
