Message from the Management

When you finish a new game, demo, engine, or utility, the first thing to do is submit it to the archive for approval. (Log in first, then Upload a New Game from the sidebar.) Then feel free to post about it in this forum; in fact, please continue to do this. This is so people will actually know about your game and play it. As nice as it is to have archive uploads automated, it's not going to help much if no one knows you have a new game to play.

When uploading your games to the archive, please zip up your game using the .ZIP format, even if it is just a .MZX file. As for less popular formats (such as RAR and 7Z), games uploaded in these formats will be rejected. This is because as wonderful as those compression algorithms might be, ZIP is a near universal compression standard, and the only one that will work with the in-game archive browser planned for MZX.

You can also attach your game to a new thread in this forum. In this case, you can use whatever compression format you find suitable. NOTE: Games posted this way won't be put into the archive unless submitted to the archive proper, or unless the author states he/she wants the game in.

Lastly, we suggest you post a suitable screenshot of your submission (in PNG format) along with the game.

These games are known to have existed at some point in time, but they have not been available for download for several years. If you have them, or know someone who does, please send Terryn a private message. We would like very much to add them to the archive.

Also, if you have any version of MegaZeux that's not in the MZX Versions section of the archive, PM us.

Yellow games are the most recent additions to this list.
  • 7 Rings Demo by joshdw1 - No details known.
  • Aah! Bugs by Scott Hammack - No details known.
  • advENTURE GEORGE by Roto - A parody game reviewed in one of Luke Drelick's old Duky mags.
  • Arena Adventure by Owcp - An early MZX game.
  • Beyond Reality: The Future Project by SpellWeavre - Missing br1basic.chr, br1_cine.chr, BR1_NORM.PAL, and a bunch of other palettes that begin with "weird" and end in a number.
  • BKZX - Allergies by Various - Not the one currently in the archive, but a much earlier one from 2004 or 2005. Included the infamous "Allergy Drama by Logicow (and his sister)" skit, plus entries from Zombieguy and others. The worlds are present, but not the full results (only the placement).
  • Buenos Dias Mr. Atomic Death by sneaky bat - Formerly linked to from Digi.
  • Castle of the Aardvarks (Soundtrack) by Yapok Jr - The complete soundtrack for this game is missing. If you have it, PM us.
  • Coma's Crow Part 1 by Coma316 - Listed in IF's old MZX game reviews.
  • Cowquest by Brian McFee - No details known.
  • Crazy Farm by moo635 - Formerly linked to from Digi.
  • Demon Invasion Demo by MegaTech Software - No details known.
  • Digital Revolution Demo by NoahSoft - NoahSoft claims he released this demo to a few people and no longer has a copy. oops!
  • Dimshi by Vertais - No details known.
  • Doomsday III by Milhouse - The demo is on the archive.
  • Doomsday Dream Legend 3 Demo by DDCecil - It had three-on-one battles with multiple character entities on the battlefield, and was in a modern setting. That's all I remember about this.
  • Doomsday Dream X Demo by DDCecil - I think Cecil blabbed on about this being his opus back in the day, and later attempted to create it in VERGE. I don't remember much about the plot, but I do remember that it had an immediate one on one battle in an arena after the intro cinematic.
  • DoZ Summer 2000 - Freedom by various - The judging results from this Day of Zeux are missing and unknown; all of that DoZ's judges do not have them. If you have the judging results textfiles, please PM or post.
  • Ed Venture by roto - This was the first game released by roto, and is an infamous piece of MegaZeux history. For a more detailed description, refer to its writeup in myth's review.
  • Eye of the Storm - No details known.
  • Final Fantasy EdVenture Demo by Luke Drelick - The demo version, like many other MZX demos, had different gameplay than the full game (in this case, it had an RPG engine).
  • Goat Attack by Torte - Formerly linked to from Digi.
  • Ham's Quest by The Almighty Cow - Listed in IF's old MZX game reviews.
  • Hello My Name Is Mr. Atomic Death by sneaky bat - Formerly linked to from Digi.
  • Hero's Journey by Vortex Software (Zero) - At the very least, a demo was made of it.
  • Ice Pyramid by Lancer-X - Lancer-X emailed this game to 4 people for beta testing when he first joined, but can't remember who they were.
  • Jimmy's Quest by Jairska - Early MZX game.
  • Jungle Mack by MegaKev - The first MZX sidescroller, according to the NL.
  • Justin's Quest by cheezit - No details known.
  • Kirby and the Pool of Marshmallows by Michael Gervasi - Posted on mWorld and Zeuxworld without a .MZX file.
  • Lost Worlds Demo by Richard Sutherland - Listed in IF's old MZX game reviews.
  • Magic by D J L - Formerly on Zeuxworld.
  • Mecha Man Trilogy - No details known. (This seems very likely to be a reference to Mecha Man Z, Mecha Man Unsayable, Mecha Man 2, and/or Mecha Man Unplugged by ZZTech. These games are advertized in the credits of Mecha Man Z. —Lachesis)
  • Medeva by Hordesoft - All that's known is in this old review by myth.
  • Memory Quest by NoahSoft - Early NoahSoft game.
  • Mighty Hoarfin' Power Dudes by Hapoppo - Listed in IF's old MZX game reviews.
  • MM Demo by Sidewinder - Formerly linked to from Digi.
  • MZXAk2.0/MZXRunAk 2.0 - Source Code by Akwende - The binaries are still floating around (on IF's page, for example) but the source code is missing. If found, please PM Terryn.
  • Oozey by Scott Hammack - Yet another ancient MAJJSoft game with little real point.
  • RoboStoner!!! II Demo by paulguy - A ZIP purporting to be this was in the archive, but it only had the MODs and stuff and no MZX file, so it was hidden. If anyone has the actual game, send away, and I'll add that to the ZIP and unhide it.
  • Smelly Land by Goshi - Formerly linked to from Digi.
  • Spy by NoahSoft - Used Hapoppo's ZZT engine. Was posted only on Aeon17's Spectre Games site, now gone and (for the relevant timeframe) unwaybackable.
  • SuperNatureality by Sharpedge - Old MZX game. Possibly an early release of EMWare/Eon Entertainment. See here: http://www.starbacks...mesSquare/3109/
  • The Santa Saga by STRIKESOFT - No details known.
  • Woofartegnugan by Jairska - Another odd game by a prolific early author.
  • Wrath of Evil by Hunter9656 - It's another Hunter9656 game, and you know there's an audience for those.
  • Zog the Hunter 2 Demo by Nathan Ridley - This was accidentally posted on yenrab's Not-Stockpile for a brief period of time, but got taken down. It's a lot like the first demo we have in the archive, except there was a LOT more content present, including a rapids ride and several large bosses.

These games DO exist in the archive, but their original 1.x and/or encrypted versions are currently missing.

The following games, previously missing, have already been given a new home in the archive thanks to this list. We'd like to extend a special thanks to the people who contributed them.
