Message from the Management

When you finish a new game, demo, engine, or utility, the first thing to do is submit it to the archive for approval. (Log in first, then Upload a New Game from the sidebar.) Then feel free to post about it in this forum; in fact, please continue to do this. This is so people will actually know about your game and play it. As nice as it is to have archive uploads automated, it's not going to help much if no one knows you have a new game to play.

When uploading your games to the archive, please zip up your game using the .ZIP format, even if it is just a .MZX file. As for less popular formats (such as RAR and 7Z), games uploaded in these formats will be rejected. This is because as wonderful as those compression algorithms might be, ZIP is a near universal compression standard, and the only one that will work with the in-game archive browser planned for MZX.

You can also attach your game to a new thread in this forum. In this case, you can use whatever compression format you find suitable. NOTE: Games posted this way won't be put into the archive unless submitted to the archive proper, or unless the author states he/she wants the game in.

Lastly, we suggest you post a suitable screenshot of your submission (in PNG format) along with the game.

I decided to get this out of the way yesterday. It may seem a bit rushed, and the humor probably sucks, but it feels good to finally have something done for a change.

A little note. If you downloaded it before I posted this message, I would suggest re-downloading it. I forgot a few SAMs, and there was a bug in Porumqe 2.

I only have played the very beginning, but what I saw was veery appealing. The music goes right along with the satire as well, sounding almost 'Pokemonish'. :p

Hey, I can't seem to find where to download the newest MZX version. When I loaded the game it said it was from 2.70, but I don't see it in the Megazuex version history or even on the front of this web site.
I am going to change the whole world of game creation for Megazuex!!...er..that is as soon as I make a game..

2.70 is "MZX being an idiot"-slang for 2.69b

<@Tixus> Anyway, I set the year to 1988 for some reason.
<@Tixus> And set the microwave to run for a minute and 28 seconds.
<@Tixus> But it failed to send me back in time, and I was disappointed.
<Insidious> Tixus accidentally microwaved the 80s

The data contained in the .MZX files only has the room for a 2 decimal place version number. Because there was already a 2.69, Exo simply had to use the next place on; 2.70.

I believe that the first char of the data in the .MZX file can go to whole numbers MORE than 9, with the first character being...

M - 1.x
2 - 2.x
...
9 - 9.x
A - 10.x
...

etc.

Dunno if that's right or not though. =P

I'll get it as soon as I'm on my home computer. It's a comedy adventure adventure then?

I really like it, but I also have one complaint, and that is the inability to save except at certain points. I played to the Whale Battle, but accidentally pressed space too soon, and then I had to leave but couldn't save... :p

Yeah, I understand not saving in battle, but on the overworld I don't see the point in save restriction. On the good side, I love Slap. He's hilarious. I enjoyed the 'critical hits' when you don't have the wrench. I also liked Slap's comments about the houses. "IS ANYBODY EVEN LIVING HERE?!?" Hehehehehehe! Nice funnies.
