I watched Rasen the other night (otherwise known as Ring: The Spiral or just The Spiral) and I totally recommend it. It's one of the two sequels to Ringu (the other sequel was Ring 2). I thought it was very good, although it's less of a horror than Ringu or Ring 2.

A REALLY great movie I watched a while ago was "Maverick" with Mel Gibson and James Garner. Boy, they did a great job on that.

I'll recommend a whole bunch later, but in the meantime, go see motherfreaking "SAW" before it leaves the theatres. For this film is the very definition of a "fucked-up movie".

Holy shit this was like the best movie ever. My knuckles were white all through that reversed bear trap scene, with the chick. It was like the best movie; not conditional, it's a must-see.

The plot is so awesome it's like "Hey this horror flick has a plot OMFG WTF CAT WOW3 whatever"

but yeah

see it

Z2 has been drussed so I guess I'm here for a while!

Lawrence of Arabia I remember was incredible
The Third Man is loads of fun and has some great lines
The Thin Man and its sequels are hilarious
Ran is insane good
Stalag 17 has the funniest scene ever
Meet John Doe has a good story and that's enough

Plus a bunch of movies you've all probably seen.

Also I am a hardcore fan of Jackie Chan so I will recommend Project A, Legend of Drunken Master which is really Drunken Master 2 but whatever, Dragons Forever, Half a Loaf of Kung Fu, and My Lucky Stars. Basically anything with him except the Protector and Eagle Shadow Fist and probably a bunch of other really old movies I haven't seen.

This post wasn't worth writing.

Cool.

Oh and I watched Troy last night for the first time. Tons of CG stuff and even though the action was pretty good, the movie overall I didn't like very much. So I'm not really recommending a movie unless you just want to see some action and Orlando Bloom disappointingly not die.

Reply #1: Yeah that movie made me cry. The saddest part is the last scene with Orlando Bloom. And guess what happened in that last scene? He didn't die. yeah. Instead he kills Brad. :D

Reply #2: I heard rumors that he was going to die, just like I heard about Jar Jar binks in episode 2.

Both of these replies seemed rather good so I posted both if you don't mind ^^

the saddest part of troy is that i watched it right after finishing a college course in the iliad so i spent the whole time through the movie all like

"no... no that's bullshit... what the hell, achilles wouldn't be fighting thessalians, he's FROM thessaly... what the hell, helen's mother was queen of sparta, she was native to the area... achilles and patrocalus weren't related, that's a load of crap... WHAT THE FUCK, THEY KILLED MENELAUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS SHIT ABOUT BRISEIS, JESUS CHRIST DID THEY HAVE TO SHOVE A POINTLESS LOVE INTEREST IN THERE, GOD"

and so on. suffice to say, i hated it.

Wow man that's harsh but I sort of understand...I was going crazy at certain parts like, "WHAT?!?!" and my language wasn't quite so graphic as your's and speaking of graphic those boats sort of looked like video game units.

Koji I don't remember a cat but I do remember the last fight was awesome because it ended five miles away from where it began. It also has Jackie Chan in a crew cut before the plastic surgery and as a supporting actor! Also <3

Allllsssso I keep mixing up Orlando Bloom with Orlando Jones.

As for recent movies, Finding Neverland is solid.

MAN ON FIRE

i went to see this on a whim a few weeks ago with no idea what it was about other than that DENZIL WASHINGTON was the lead

it turned out to be a 2 1/2 hour long revenge flick about a bodyguard in central america whose charge is abducted and assumed dead

it was totally awesome, i loved kill bill so i ate that shit right up

i know my description sounds lame but it was a really good film

I heared Kill Bill was turd. Then someone said the 2nd part was an even bigger pile of turd.

I recomend the movie Team America. Alec Baldwin gets killed in it.

The Kill Bill movies-- it's all on opinion. You can't say they're ultimately crap or good.

If you like Southpark, you'll love Team America.

Here's a quote from TAWP

One of the agents is with the terrorists in disguise (Gary), two other TA agents are chasing them, not realising Gary's in the truck and they begin shooting. Gary waves fraticly at them
Chris (looks at truck with binoculars): That guys saying somethin.
Driver: What's he saying?
Gary: It's me Gary guys.
Chris: Looks like he's sayin kiss my hairy ass!
Driver: Shoot the cheeky bastard!

Harold and Kumar go to White Castle is one of the greatest movies I have ever seen...er, well, it IS pretty damned funny. Other good movies I've seen recently are:
The Village
The Secret Window
Shaun of the Dead (did anyone other than me think the title would have worked better if spelled "Shawn"?)
Peter Pan (the 2003 version)

The Forgotten and Hero were simply okay.

However, on the other end of the list...these movies were so terrible, that I recommend killing yourself if you ever watch them or have ever watched them:
Resident Evil: Apocalypse
Blair Witch Project 2: Book of Shadows
Van Helsing

These are simply my opinions.
