It's quite easy to tell that it's SMZX mode without the debug menu..

I'm sure it moves when you play or or something...
Personally I think it'd be really cool for logi to make a 3d game with this... Just a thought :3

Uh.. exactly how is Logi making us look bad. Its just showing of the graphical potential MZX provides. Besides Logi really, really needs to make an actual game instead of all these tech demos.
And if his graphicxsa are better than ours well then... uh... well look I can make... nifty ASCII fades!

Yeah, maybe, if he actually programmed in anything besides MZX You have a lot to learn about what it takes to be a programmer that ANYONE would hire.

For this exact reason, I'd rather die a horribly bloody death than become a professional programmer.
On to LogiCow: Computers were created to make useful calculations for mankind. Various programming languages were created to make useful programs. For Christ's sake, people. Megazeux was made for game creation, not for pathetic half-finished demos, engines and character fonts. The only people worthy of criticizing these graphical programs are those that have actually released a complete, full length game in the past year.
Did this post make sense? If it does, I'm very relieved.

No, it doesn't make any sense at all. If people find something worthy of criticism they can criticize away - their own accomplishments hold no relevance towards the actual legitimacy of what they say. Actually your post reeks of contradiction, since you seem to be criticizing people for using MZX to make game demos and engines, but are saying that no one has the right to criticize LogiCow for doing graphical demos (which aren't games) unless they've released a game in the last year. Doesn't that mean that since you haven't released a game in the last year that you have no right to criticize those who release those things you mentioned?
Try to help me understand this.

Toxik: Look at your quote above. You're right, Toxik. Programs are supposed to actually help mankind. But ask yourself: What is the key goal of mankind? (This sounds too much like a seminar.) The key goal (other than romance etc) is fun. FUN! If a bad demo or graphic or whatever is FUN, then it meets the goal for mankind. Your goal may to be rich, so you can buy stuff that is FUN! So, half finished games are allright, see? HA! I forced you to read this long paragraph.
Noiprox: Thanx for the info, I'll remember that.
Exophase: I think in order to complain about someone, you must be better than them in the area you complain about. You know? Like, if you're complaining to the cops about someone being insane, and you're even more insane...something bad is gonna happen.
That's all I'm sayin'.

So what's the lesson?
get a computer science degree to become competent in computer programming and such and then become a game designer. Don't shoot for programmer, it's hard laborious work if you don't thuroughly enjoy yourself with the project you work with.
And since you're just a hand for hier as a programmer you'll probably do a few projects you won't thuroughly enjoy.

I think the point was that Mario is a rich, powerful plumber. I'm not sure his comment had anything to do with Miyamoto at all.
Also, as far as the game industry goes, unless you own the publishing company you're not looking at any real money ever. Games are more or less a labor of love still, even though there is some money made you won't be racing a Ferrari any time soon. Even Romero had to get rid of his.

I'd have to agree even though a few software companies (Spiderweb Software being a good example) where they sell games but not through a publishing company. Even if they don't go through it, they don't seem to really make that much. But then I don't really see any real money in any other form of programming unless you write an operating system and get lucky enough to have it catch on (Torvalds got really lucky).

Tch speak for yourself.
Seriously though folks that has got to be the most rediculous thing I've ever read.
the goal of mankind isn't to have fun, it's to further yourself. To achieve, to make more goals...
It's sort of anal, but true, we strive to make goals and meet them. It's our goal in life. How many times have you reached a goal and sat back and truely said "I'm alllllll done!" and not immediately work on another task or find another goal to accomplish.
You make mankind sound like a personification of "Girls just wanna have fun" and personally that sickens me. A life devoted to "fun" as I'm sure you'll understand after some consideration, is quite unhealthy.
DID YOU EVER WATCH PINNOCHIO!? SERIOUSLY!?

(It's almost one in the morning, so forgive the lack of grammar, or grammatical logic.)
On a separate note, the meaning of life is not fun. Women have more on their minds, and men are not so lucky. What of those that ignore these basic goals? People can still survive.
