Screenshots for the showcase page should be reduced to 50% when on resolutions with pixel width < 1024 to accommodate mobile phones, netbooks, etc.

This will probably also require an almost total rewrite of the CSS to reduce font sizes, container widths, etc etc.

Better to resize in the backend rather than the frontend. Some browsers do nearest-neighbour scaling which can make MZX screenshots look bad. Also better to do bilinear.

Could be implemented as an on-demand resize (using `convert' if it's installed on the server, or some other imaging library) or upload thumbs that are pre-converted. The former is obviously more sustainable because then newly added screenshots do not require their thumbnail counterparts to be generated manually, or by the submitter.

I think both GD and ImageMagick are installed so I don't see an issue. Any other preference besides the use of bilinear scaling?

I implemented this client-side for the short term.

Your implementation is bugged and doesn't attempt to resize anything besides the screenshot. A proper implementation would check the screen size at load time and use an alternate CSS configuration.

This won't be by any means difficult to manage. I will look into making a low-fi small-resolution theme when I'm done with screenshots.
