Hello everyone, and thank you for all of you who continue to stay with our community and continue to make great games and start interesting discussions.

I'd like to announce our two new DigiStaff!

Lachesis, who comes to us after 7 years of being with the community, including great personal change and a dedication to MegaZeux that is, I would say, unmatched among our current membership.

And Lancer-X, known on irc as 'lolilover', who was an admin back in the formative years of DigitalMZX and now returns to service bringing knowledge and experience.

With these changes, I will also announce that we intend to upgrade and 'fix' the vault, repairing issues such as unfair review averaging (including half-stars in review averages to make them more representative), seperating Games and Engines, including a MOD section, and many many other things down the line. I hope it will be a productive and welcome change, and invite all suggestions, comments, complaints, etc. If you don't like it about DigitalMZX, we want to hear about it!

<@Tixus> And set the microwave to run for a minute and 28 seconds.
<@Tixus> But it failed to send me back in time, and I was disappointed.
<Insidious> Tixus accidentally microwaved the 80s
<Insidious> that is my takeaway from this

Vault changes won't go into effect immediately, I need to learn the code base a bit. The first things I'll do won't have much code changing behind them; fixing the #-Z results so they don't show anything besides games. Admin tools and login fixing will follow when I get a solid picture of what I'm doing. Suggestions are nice, but check out the tracker first to make sure it's not already there. : )

I lied. Fixed the #A-Z browse results. If anybody wants the competitions back in the #A-Z results they can be added back.

If you can't see the half-stars in the overall game ratings, you might need to clear your cache.

Dependency uploading added. Any games that have supplementary files uploaded to them will go back into Pending Approval mode. You should be able to upload files to any of your own games, and you can also see any games you have pending approval in the "My Games" section. To celebrate this occasion, I've uploaded the source code BZ2s to MZX 2.82b and MZX 2.83. Cheers

I'm a bit confused as to what Dependency uploading actually is. Is it just a ZIP file that gets put within your existing ZIP file of your game?

Remember when games used to split music and/or sounds into their own zip files? That's what's being talked about: the ability to upload more than one zip file for a game. Nowadays, it's for things like choosing between high-quality vs low-quality soundtrack zips, but the basic idea still applies.

If there's a better term to use, I'll take suggestions.
