Hey folks,

KKairos has been nice enough to put some time in on creating a new skin, and we'd like some feedback. If you want to try it, go to the lower left corner of the webpage and switch it to "KKairos Sandbox" which should now be publicly available. (We know, we know, placeholder logo blah blah blah...)

KKairos would like to extend Thank You's to Wervyn, Terryn, and MZXGiant for their assistance.

i like the colors better, but the post background could still be darker.

edit: the sign out link blends with the background and is indiscernible. this would be nice to correct. i spent two minutes searching for it before realizing that i am silly and unobservant =)

• Post background should be darker.
  
• Post date text color should be a very insignificant color, like maybe just a lighter version of the background color.
  
• The yellow active tab color just isn't working for horizontal spans of the entire screen; I think the active tab background color at the top of the screen should be white. (Dark dmzx blue colored text on white.)
  
• Average the color of the Report/Reply/MultiQuote button background with that of the background.

I'm not likely to do ALL of that stuff today (I'll be out of the house starting in about 45 minutes and I just got up.)

But I'll see what I can do about doing some stuff tomorrow.

CJA, if you could restate your fourth point in different words (or someone could) that would help me; as it is I'm not sure what exactly they mean.

Late enough now that I should show the 'edit by' line.

I think I get what CJA is saying in point 3. If someone could give a second/third/fourth or a "nay" on that they should. I myself quite frankly don't see an issue, and I feel almost that that bar would look worse in white, but, beats me.

I actually WILL be in today till about 5:30-ish. So I'll be doing some of the touchups/adjustments.

Make the background color for the 'Report', 'Reply' and 'MultiQuote' buttons the same as the color surrounding them. I think that is what he means.

It actually wasn't, but I appreciate your effort to help. (We had discussed it on IRC before.)

For history's sake I'm going to be screenshotting the skins before I make any real changes, just in case anyone needs a point of reference so we don't get confused by how the skin looks now vs. how it used to. By my clock (according to what I told MZXGiant) I'm supposed to start within 38 hours, which I basically said so that I'd put it on my to-do list for tomorrow.

Just would like to state that I adore the new skin in comparison to the old IPB3 default that was tearing out my eye sockets. I HATE black on white, it just... it hurts.

What? No, make the time/date of posts readable, why would any one want it set up so that you have to highlight the text to read it? change the text back to white, or enjoy tons of zombie threads O_o

Yeah, this color is a lot less significant than I had in mind. Make it brighter!

For the record I am eventually going to do more stuff on this skin.

Also I caught a glimpse of the ugly gold-brown on a monitor that wasn't mine. It actually looks pretty okay on this monitor but on my mom's it looked awful, so now I finally understand why other people thought it was so ugly.

SKIN UPDATE: Quoteboxes and profiles have proper colors now, but polls and the drop down tabs when post editing still have some awful colors until I find them in the CSS files! IPB decided to go and change the locations of some other colors on me, too, so there may be awful looking things that I'm not aware of! Tell me if you find anything!
