Calling all Artists! DMZX Logo Contest 2010

Also, we're looking to move to a new name! So far we're thinking of using "dMZX" and get away from "DigitalMZX". Keep this in mind during the transition...
With that, I'd like to open a logo contest for the remainder of March to see who can come up with the best logo for the new dMZX. We'll be following the color scheme from http://colorschemede.../#3B629hWs0g0g0 (used at http://vault.digitalmzx.com) for the rest of the site, so you're welcome to use those colors as a template.
Please use vector-based software for this if possible -- I'll be sponsoring a prize based on the best logo if funds allow, and that will require a very high-res image.
I'll be taking entries at mzxgiant@gmail.com from now until 3/19, at which point I'll put them all up for community voting for a few days. Any ties will be broken by the administration staff.
Good luck to everyone!

<Malwyn> Yes, yes. Don't worry I'd rather masturbate with broken glass than ask you for help again. :(

Edit: Hey wait... do we really have to stick to those 4 colors? Not even the good ol' ASCII smiley cyan?

edit: noticeably, you know. i'm not convinced it's capitalized. maybe it's the way the mzx is under the d, it's like the other way around completely. i know it wasn't specified in the criteria but i'm assuming a logo entry that reflected our new brand name, dMZX, with proper capitalization, would win a little harder.

'DMZX' and 'dmzx' both look bland, 'dMZX' looks lopsided, i think the font itself provides a nice middle ground
besides, capitalizing it by editing the vectors would just look silly because the d would be way too tall and etc.
i dunno, if you think that'll Win Harder then you can do it
also, i'm updating thing

"Win harder."
..Ignorance is to be unaware of the truth.
....Incompetence is to be unable to grasp the truth.
......And escape is to run away from the truth.
It is useless to run, since the truth is right next to you.

...
<@Tixus> Anyway, I set the year to 1988 for some reason.
<@Tixus> And set the microwave to run for a minute and 28 seconds.
<@Tixus> But it failed to send me back in time, and I was disappointed.
<Insidious> Tixus accidentally microwaved the 80s
<Insidious> that is my takeaway from this

The colors are easily fixable if people like the design (I did them by eye, and I just realized that the monitor I used while making this horribly desaturates the colors it displays.). I'll probably make a different one tomorrow, if I feel that I have another idea I like.
edit: slightly fixed colors

Somebody requested that the "d" be more clearly a "d", and this was the best thing I could think of without entirely redoing at least a good half of the image. Opinions? If everybody likes this one more than the other version, I could tidy it up a little.
