Here's my attempt at one. Colouring isn't final at this stage and I may want to change some of the overlaps.

<Malwyn> Yes, yes. Don't worry I'd rather masturbate with broken glass than ask you for help again. :(

Lancer beat me

this one looks jumbled. i would suggest (though i wouldn't go to the trouble of doing it myself to win harder) taking your old logo and adding a point before the beginning of the wave, and shift-dragging it up until it looks like a d, then adjusting your wave so it fits better.

that would involve the aforementioned "redoing at least half of the image entirely" which I was trying to avoid

I'm not sure what this arrow pointing forward and/or upward is supposed to mean. Is it to give it the feeling that we're progressing somehow (new versions of MZX)? I do actually like your second concept at the top of the page the most out of all of these, Guy, because it shows blocks coming together, which I connect to dmzx being on the internet and a connection between all sorts of different people, and at the same time we do MZX (or some of us do), and it's about creating something--putting something together. I like that. I think you should experiment more with that concept stylistically, by perhaps making the "dmzx" just absences of blocks, or higher blocks if that makes sense...yeah. Just feedback. If it resonates, think about it.

I wish i had more time with this, but here is something. I reeaally wanted to make my own font, so i did. The rest is kind of uninspired (my free time is ~nil)... I would really like feedback, b/c I would like to tweak this into something that I can love and that can love me back.

One set is three variations of logo style, with no real effects included. The second set is three effects styles on one of the variations.

Please, feedback! And really... I think the arrows-pointing-at-things has come and gone as far as logotypes go. I would gladly delve into this topic further, because I love these things ohsomuch... but, brevity and all that.

I felt left out, so i drew this epic logo.

In all seriousness however, I like Guy's pixelated logo so far. I could barely make out your logo Hoof, and even then it feels like it's just M with squiggles.
<Nadir> mzxers don't make GAMES, usually
<phthalocyanine> they make experiences.
<Nadir> demos, more like
<Nadir> a glimpse into what could have been if mzx wasn't such a bore to work with
<Nadir> actually, i'm being unfair
<Nadir> i would have made mzx games if it was capable of running on more than 20 computers worldwide in 1998
<Nadir> >:D

<%Alice> functor
<%nooodl> i hear C++ has a thing called functors and they're completely different from Haskell functors...
<rorirover> the result is the most horrid thing in C++, it's basically black magic and it transforms any code you're writing into some eldritch monstrosity
