The improper colour of keys is displayed in the status menu, due to the palette being difference from the system colours.

(I don't know what version it was introduced, so I guessed; it is probably whatever version they added the protected character set. It will not let me to leave that field blank. Also, it is probably independent of the operating system; it would probably apply to all SDL-based versions)

Updating status to: Confirmed
Updating severity to: 1 - Low

This was probably added circa-2.80 or 2.81 when the protected palette was implemented; I will pin down the version later for posterity. IIRC MegaZeux's draw functions weren't capable of mixing protected and game palette colors within a char until 2.90, which is why this wasn't ever addressed.

It should be possible to just display these as their respective game color on protected dark blue as an interim fix. A more long-term fix would also put keys that are too close to dark blue on their own layer and add a border char to EDIT.CHR to place beneath them.

edit: this bug was added in 2.80g.
