I know how to detect MDA and EGA, I got them down, Now I have problems detecting VGA, Perferrably ONLY detecting VGA cards for palettes in .PAL format, Charactersets are for EGA and VGA cards and are 8x14 .CHR, The ZZT revamp I am working on doesn't have support for CGA/MDA/Hercules, due to next to no support for fonts or people have no access to these cards (I'm looking at you, that rare Hercules card with font support or something!!!)
Can someone please help direct me to a short and sweet "detect VGA" routine please?
