I'm thinking of getting laser eye surgery because I absolutely hate wearing glasses and I really suck at putting contacts in beause I'm super sensitive about things going in my eyes. Has anyone here gotten it or know anyone that's gotten it or have any opinions on it? Let me know...

Is laser eye surgery where lasers heal your eyes, or is it where they fit laser's in your eyes. Who needs a pistol with laser targeting when you have laser sight eyes?

i have some family members who had lasik eye surgery done this past year and they are extremely happy with the results. everything went smoothly during the operation for the both of the (which kinda was a big deal because both of them had trouble wearing contacts-wierd eye reactions) and they said the healing time was def. worth it. ig you have a chance to go for it, do it.

i don't know anyone who's had it, but it sounds like a good idea if you can do it. my dad was thinking about having it done awhile back but we didn't have the finances at the time.
<Tox> bah. I may as well give in and shop australia. D:

It sounds like a good idea, I'd do it if I had the money, but I hear it can be risky.

They now have a procedure that is safer because they don't actually cut the cornea, but regular lasik seems like an alright process. You just have to keep your eyes out of chlorinated water and stuff for a while.

My mother got it last year and said it was well worth the money especially after the one time there was a flood and she was stuck at work for like 3 days with the same pair of contacts and she didn't have her glasses on her.

It's not covered in my medical but I'm eventually gonna get it. My neighbor got it soon after they first offered it and he says it went flawlessly and he can see perfectly now. I'm eventually gonna get it, too.

Maybe I'll do the same sometime in the future. Is it just as safe and efficent for those with astigmatism? I have that, plus near-sightedness.

be warned!!!
i was talking to my family about eye surgery and come to find out
i cant believe i for got this but
i dont know exactly what kind of surgery it was
but i had an elderly great aunt recieve eye surgery last year and they seriously messed up her eyes
like they ordered the wrong size of lense or whatever for her her left eye, and now its like
totally ruined.
she had really bad eye sight though...
depending on how bad your eyesight really is, you might want to think about wait???

other than that all ive heard has been great comments on it
my other aunt and uncle still dont regret having the surgery done on thier eyes.

For the most part if you're doctor isn't from Guatelajara, you'll have nothing to worry about.

I believe laser eye surgery is when they fire a laser into your eye until you can see better. I haven't had it before or know of anyone who has had it, but I believe my mom told me about it.

It's a bit more complex than that... ^^;

basicly the laser burns away excess lense area, or is used to widdle a brand new lense in your eye. The later surgery is much more expensive and lengthy.
