This was the first DoZ I competed in with one of my friends along for the ride. Spent about 13 hours straight on it, followed by sleep, and a couple more hours working out bugs when I got up.

I hope that I at least score well, whether or not I lose.

How does everyone else think their work is?

I feel I have a shot at no. 1 if I haven't broken any time rules (which I probably did).

Man, our team was cranking along until bramble went to sleep, then I went to bed at 7am and set the timer for 1.5 hours, only to wake up at 10 because my speakers were turned off. I then had to finish the game in three hours, because asgromo stopped caring around 8:30am or something, and then bramble turned up at 12:30 and helped me out a lot, except we goofed and screwed up one cinematic so now the gameplay's busted :(

I just didn't finish at all. Not using MZX for years and then coming back and trying to enter a competition isn't really intelligent. :(

Sure it is, Trauma. I came back a few weeks ago after not programming MZX for about 5 years. I think I was actually better at MZX, because of the programming experience I've gained since then.

I worked most of the time (didn't sleep or take any rests over 15 minutes), but yeah, I redid a lot many times, and was never quite happy.

I probably worked 75% of the time total. I was tired and had to sleep, though. heh heh

hope everyone had a good one. i can't wait to play the games.

i've just got back from a 9 hour shift at work. i had work today and yesterday and i couldn't cancel because i owe the bank. total DoZ time would've been 10 hours if i had have been able to do without sleep and hit work. =(

however - i'll be back.

Yeah, I feel pretty bad about that game-stopping bug.

Also, my apologies to asgromo.

Regardless I had a whole lot of fun. : ) Liked making those cinemas.

I had an alumni thing at my high school the day the DoZ ended, and I ended up staying up for 30 hours total. (I got up at 3:30 pm the day of the DoZ. For me and Xeirx it started at 10 am, so I was five hours late.)

It was actually pretty fun, though. We hopefully placed well with no gamestopping bugs.

My monitor broke 3 days before DoZ. Then I didn't get a new one until yesterday. I missed it! :'(

I really must say, this DoZ didn't turn out as good as expected.

Mine sucks. It's incomplete. If it had been FUNNY, it probably would have been a lot better off.

Also, I was late so I didn't get in TEAM POOP ROAD >:(. Which also sucked.

It's a shame my first DoZ experience happened at such an _apparently_ bad DoZ. I might've been tricked into thinking it was good, had everyone been like "whoa that rocked" because I'm just so oblivious. What made this horrible is all the downing comments, but I'm telling you I still had fun. Long lived the king.

bramble: don't worry about it. the first doz i took part in wasn't all that great and my entry was horrible. read: horrible. but hey, stick with it a few years and you'll make it up to the top five. heck, last time, john's and my entry took fourth. the last three we had placed below 13th every time.

Doomboy, it cant hurt to release your games because youll get useful feedback on them.

On another note, this post lacks punctuation because Firefox is being retarded!

well, if the game is total crap, then yeah, don't release it. just move on to better things. once you get robots down, it all becomes much better.
revvy: looks like it has punctuation to me...
