Put down your favorite MZX games.

My favorite is probably Esdemo1's Weirdland Series.

Forest of Ruin, and uh- uh- I dunno. I've hardly finished any long games, and I can't think of those good, short ones right now.

Mine was probably either Cans II, or basically anything made by Emalkay.

Bernard the Bard, Fiona's Sepulcher, Dungeons of Dismay, Call of Caethrath, Brotherhood, Hamlet 1 & 2, Zombie Quest, Legend of Omega 1 & 2, plus various DoZ/WoZ games (such as Manuel Manx, The Scottish Adventure, and so on).

The Most Meaningless Game in the World 6 (how many times have I written out this long-ass title, thanks JDewbre <3)
Call of Caethrath
Caverns of Zeux
Chronos Stasis
Cans 3
Cans Special Edition
That's Odd
Blade of Islan
Weirdness
BLARGDRFRMAHAG! (did I get this right?)
RABIES, BABY! (the five minute wonder that made me laugh harder than any of these)

Whoa, what's with all the "C" titles.

Edit: Oh man, I forgot Castle of the Aardvarks...

I haven't played too many MZX games from the archive actually, but if there is a favorite, I loved playing Bernard the Bard... the first time I saw that game was the first timed I tried MZX a few years back, after being used to ZZT. I was in awe when I saw what MZX could do over ZZT. After seeing logicows raycaster and wireframes, Im still in awe at what MZX can do!

That I make good games? haha j/k - but if you don't like your own games, then you probably shouldn't release them :D

I need to try some emalkay games, I don't think I ever have...

MegaZeux Superstar is an unsurpassable classic, with Crystal Cities and Castle of the Aardvarks bringing up the rear.

Thanks Lancer, it was kinda eery. Weird, a few people have mentioned Castle of Zeux to me today. Maybe I WILL do a sequel one day, I've had a few ideas recently so perhaps it might happen.

honor quest 2 (wish this was finished)
darkness
castle of zeux (john and i were working on a coz-esq game at one point, except for a little more serious plot. we still have maps of the thing drawn out. i swear, each map is 4'x4'. if i ever find where they're packed, i might even finish the game...)

Here is my list:
(In no particular order. I also recommend playing.)

Snarfoogle- Funny game no matter how many time I play it.
COC- Good graphics, sound, story, and gameplay. What more can you ask for?
Andlo- Kickass sidescroller!
Portals- Interesting story.
Caverns of Zeux- A classic. First mzx game I ever played.
Castle of Zeux- A short, but fun game. Great music (Sometimes I hum Fear and Bossy in my head).
Magic Ripple- A bit buggy, but it's still a good adventure game.
Demon Earth- Sometimes it can get a little boring, but it's still a great game.
Nonsense series- Funny games with funny cutscenes.
Zog the Hunter series- Good adventure games (Even though one is just a demo).
Kung Fu (I think that's the name for it)- Graphics look a bit bad at times, but this is the best fighting game I played in mzx. To bad it's just a demo (Pretty long though).
That funny rpg Kuru made, forgot the name- Funny game with a cool rpg engine.

1. Bernard The Bard
You just cannot surpass this game, no matter how hard you try.

2. The Zeux Series
Sure, this was before overlay and palette editing and all that, but these games were long, involved, and fun, and had great music.

3. Castle Of Zeux
A lot of people seem to like Castle of Zeux, and I can't say I blame 'em. Even if it was really short, the music, graphics, and setting all worked together to make it probably the only creepy MZX game I've ever played. And yeah, a sequel would be cool.

4. The Cans Series
Sure, it's overrated by a lot of drooling fanboys, but it's still a clever, humorous game series with one of the most entertaining villains I've seen in a game.

5. Honor Quest II Demo
Someone find Darren Hewer and hold a runcible spoon to his head until he finishes this thing.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."
- C.S. Lewis

This week, on LANCER PONDERS:
<lolilover> I notice alot of Japanese fiction involving kemono-mimi characters always has the main character saving an innocent animal and then the animal returns as a girl to reward him for his kindness.
<lolilover> Well there's a cat that is always wandering around in my backyard. Should I feed it in the hopes that one day a catgirl will show up at my door?

Insanifest rocks your socks off.

I also like the Nonsense series, and Castle of Zeux.
