I've got a demo for this MZX adventure game right here. It shouldl give you an idea of the look and feel of the game. Perhaps you'll find it interesting. Perhaps you'll find it is absolute shit, to quote another person. Whatever the case, I worked forever on it, and it's certainly no Rock-on Casino, so try it out.

For your convenience, the MZX file is blinwatc.mzx

Nice.. title screen could do with a LITTLE care, though.

<Malwyn> Yes, yes. Don't worry I'd rather masturbate with broken glass than ask you for help again. :(

Well, the title screen I was in a rush to do. I just wanted to get this demo out as soon as possible, so that screen took me 5 minutes. As for the 6-legged robot tank animation thing... As miserable as it looks, it took me a long freaking time to do. Pitiful, I know.

I'll continue to work on this, mark my words. Expect (more or less) frequent demos.

EDIT: I forgot to mention- Anyone who takes a look at this I'd love to get help from. Music, sound, whatever. If I can have serious help, I certainly won't give up on this project. If you are serious, post right here or PM me (or for that matter, just read the first board when you edit the file and follow from there). I'd be extremely grateful for whatever help I can get.

Believe it or not, I'm still burned out from the last DoZ. =(

Otherwise, I'd help.

I suppose I ought to update on this. I haven't worked on it a huge amount lately, what with standardized tests and whatnot. So far I've added another cutscene. No gameplay yet. I'll get to that stuff at some point.

As for the story, I don't want to give away too much. I'm actually trying for an intelligent story in a MegaZeux game. Most of you probably realize that's a relatively rare thing. Basically, the story involves a group of sentient computers that were designed to govern the large city the game primarily takes place in. The files the spy in the demo was stealing were, for the most part, the thousands of script files and other stuff that made up the executive or prime decision-making branch of the computer. The game takes place in some futuristic (non-existant) metropolitan police-state.

Once again, anyone who wants to help (especially with sound and music) I'd love to hear from. And no, I don't want to see what you're capable of. I've been around DigitalMZX long enough to more or less know if I want your help.

Okay then, that's basically it.

I've planned out the areas the game takes place in, and I've finished the introduction cutscenes. Now I'm working on the cutscenes for the ending, and designing areas. The game, which is now going to be split in two seperate parts, or MegaZeux worlds, is going to take place in seperate zones of the city, where each seperate formerly mentioned computer is set. The zones simply differ in socio-economic class, starting with the player's home area, which is relatively slummy, and on to the framework of the main decision-making computer, underground the high-class city center.

If you have a good idea of what theme of song you'd like, I might be able to make a couple. Of course, I'm working on Marcus' songs and possibly Fungahhh's as well. So it might take a while to get back to you.

Well- I'm really pretty open. If you tried the demo, I'd basically love music to replace what you heard in that. I need a theme song for that robot tank thing, as it will make a few appearances in that game (the track it uses now, as you can tell, sucks) and basically I need one or two tracks of moody techno-ish sounding stuff for when the main character is just exploring the city. Any tracks would be helpful- I'm not making demands of anybody.
